      My work brought me and my wife to the Pontiac County in 2001.  Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Sylvain Drapeau.  I am a wood scaler as well as a wildlife and wood product transformation technician.  My wife, Caroline Desrosiers is an elementary school teacher.  We have recently purchased 200 acres of land in the Municipality of Otter Lake.

      Our love for dog sledding has convinced us to reside in the country so that we can enjoy our cold, harsh winters.  This passion for dog sledding was passed on to me by my uncle François Bruneau, who has been practicing this sport for more than 15 years.

     Our kennel now has 18 dogs, which are descendants from my uncle’s dog Mouki. We began our entreprise Escapade Eskimo in the spring of 2004. This name was chosen in honour of François’s lead dog Kimo.

    We are members of  touristique Outaouais, de l’Association des mushers du Québec and l'Association touristique du Pontiac.
